Samenvatting:
Eindwerk industrieel ontwerpen, This thesis gives an overview of the total process completed to design a "Shingling tool". This is a tool that helps Procter & Gamble's employees solve jams on their production lines. The final result was obtained by following the four different phases of the design process: the information-phase, the exploration-phase, the decision-phase and the verification-phase. By interpreting the information obtained in each phase, we are able to conclude that the final product is ready for production and will result in a tool that can fulfill its goals. Due to vacuum casting being the preferred technique to produce this tool, a lot of attention was paid to the design of suitable connections for this production technique. The gathered information is also used to present a simple modification to the production line to prevent jams in the future.
